Certified Extracts and Website Page Extracts
The Notary may produce certified extracts from documents presented to them. This guarantees that a specific document was extracted from a broader one on a particular date.
Similarly, the Notary may generate certified extracts of webpages to prove that specific content appeared at a certain time and date on a particular internet address. These extracts can be useful for documenting defamatory content or violations of image rights.
Certified Copies of Presented Documents
Clients may request the Notary to make certified copies of documents presented to them, proving both the existence of the original document on a given date and the fact that it was shown to the Notary by a specific individual.
Certification and Inventories
Books, especially corporate ledgers, can be certified by the Notary for regular and legally binding maintenance. The Notary may also compile inventories, particularly in cases of inheritance with benefit of inventory, guardianship of incapacitated persons, or for fiscal and other legal purposes.
Sealing and Unsealing of Assets
The Notary may be called upon to place or remove seals on movable goods and premises, either by legal requirement or by request of the parties involved.
Sworn Declarations of Notoriety
According to Article 1, paragraph 3, of Law No. 89/1913, the Notary may receive affidavits in civil and commercial matters.
Voluntary Jurisdiction Petitions
Under Article 1, paragraph 2, of Law No. 89/1913, the Notary may submit voluntary jurisdiction applications to the competent judicial authorities, particularly for obtaining authorizations related to notarial acts.
Certification of Expert Reports and Translations
The Notary may be asked to certify expert reports, declarations, and translations prepared by professionals for tax, judicial, or urban planning purposes.
